Mark That Hot Spot

I always mark the precise spots where I’ve caught good fish. Frequently on future trips I’ll catch several more large fish in these locations. Actually, this is quite logical because whatever appealed to that first fish about that location may well attract other fish. For example, here are three different Hot Spots that have been giving me great fish for many years all across the country. 1. On the Yellowstone River in Montana the drop run beside the old wahed in ranch gate high on the bank above Carter’s Bridge has produced many huge browns. 2. On the Outer Banks I’ve caught many large blues in the deep cut in the sound 24 telephone poles north of the Buxton town sign. 3. On the North Fork of the Shenandoah River the SUV size cut beside the third oak tree seldom fails to give me some great smallmouth bass in the spring.
