Two Worlds of Nymphing

“Swing Nymphing” is a great way to fish the deep runs on large trout streams and smallmouth rivers. Cast up and across the stream at a 45 degree angle and after the nymph sinks deeply swing your rod ahead of it to lead it through the deep run beside you and you’ll feel th strike. “Dead Drift Nymphing” is done by casting straight upstream. As the nymph drifts back to you watch your indicator for the take so you can see the strike. I especially like the Murray’s Fly Shop Indicators.
