Spring Bass

We are coming into the stream conditions when you can catch some large bass in the “bank bays”. These are those 2 to 3 foot deep indentations that high waters cut back into the river banks. They range from 10 to 20 feet long and are usually cut 5 to 6 feet back in to the bank. Start at the upper end of these “bank bays” by wading and floating 40 feet off the bank and cover each with about 20 casts.
