The Shad are running in spurts right now. Grab your fly rod, a sink tip line and a handful of Marauders in Chartreuse, Pearl, Brown and Black in sizes #6 and #8. This past week things were slow near Fredericksburg, VA (Rappahannock River)and the water was down quite a bit from the previous week when things were on fire.
