Photo Inquiry

The concerned angler called and asked, “I want to take some flash photos of trout but since they don’t have eyelashes will this hurt their eyes?”.

After fishing several hours that big fish hits your fly but on the first run he breaks your tippet and is gone. Could this fish have been landed? Quite possibly. Every fifteen minutes it is wise to test your tippet and fly knots. This is easily done by holding your fly firmly in one hand and the leader above the tippet knot in the other and pull firmly. If it is strong leave it alone but if either knot breaks simply retie it.
