Get Ready for the Next Pool

When you are fishing dry flies on a mountain brook trout stream what is the last thing you should do when you finish fishing the pool before you move upstream to the next pool?
1. False cast to dry your fly as well as possible.
2. Blot your fly thoroughly on a Murray’s Dry A Fly Patch.
3. Dress your fly with dry fly floatant.
This basic procedure assures you that when you approach the next pool upstream you are ready to fish it properly and that you will not spook that trout in the lower section of the pool by false casting over him.
