Fall is in the air…

The mountain tops are near their peak fall colors. The weather man says there is a chance of snow Saturday night in the Shenandoah River Valley. Days spent fishing the Smallmouth Rivers like the Shenandoah have gone from wet wading with plenty of cold drinks to donning your waders and toting a thermos of hot coffee. There is still time to hit your favorite Smallmouth River but not much; think something deep in the mid afternoon. The delayed harvest streams sure could use a bit of water to help the recently stocked fish get used to their new surroundings; think about a small streamer in the deep riffles.
