Deer Hair surface bass bugs are great. Many bass hold onto them longer than poppers thus enabling us to hook them. Some anglers say they can cast deer hair bugs further than poppers. And deer hair bugs can easily be shaped at the tying bench to look like mice, frogs, moths or whatever you like.
