Chase the Duns

12-mf-dun-2

Frequently when the mountain trout streams reach 45 degrees the aquatic insect hatches are in full swing and the trout feed heavily upon the dry naturals. Even reasonably high water does not stop them. However, these trout often choose different feeding stations in the high water. You should look for them in the “back eddies” and the protected “corners” of the pools. Here they can capture great numbers of duns and they do not have to fight the powerful currents.
