Led by Jeff Murray, this workshop is designed to introduce you to the unique experience of trout fishing in Shenandoah National Park, home to some of the most pristine native brook trout streams on the East Coast. Whether you’ve never held a fly rod or you’ve dabbled in trout fishing before, this workshop will provide valuable techniques and insider tips to elevate your time on the water.

Topics include:

  • Reading mountain streams and identifying prime trout-holding water
  • Essential gear and tackle designed especially for small native brook trout streams
  • Fly selection strategies specific to the Park’s native brook trout
  • Info on access to streams featured in Harry Murray’s book Trout Fishing in the Shenandoah National Park
