The Tricos Are Coming

The trico mayflies start early in the summer and can last until October. The small size of these naturals prompt the trout to be very demanding in their feeding. Here are some tips which help me.

1. Get to the stream each morning before the flies become thick… 7am or so.
2. Stay on the stream until well after the spinner fall… about 3 hours later.
3. Use a 8X leader.
4. Set the hook on the strike with a slip strike.
