I want accurate fly presentations, delicate deliveries, and the ability to cast in close quarters. The rod should be able to fish flies as small as size 24 up to and including flies size 8. In testing many fly rods for this type of fishing, it is very important that this rod have a delicate tip. For the tip to perform properly, the butt section of the rod must be firm.
