Mending & Strike Detection

Mending the fly line upstream is a great way to help achieve good depth with your streamers and nymphs. Just remember to pick up the extra slack line on the water as your fly approaches the hot spot so you can feel the strike. Excessive slack line drifting downstream can cushion the fishes’ strike and you’ll never feel it.
