Late Fall Smallmouth Bass

Shenandoah River Smallmouth Bass Fly FishingThe water temperatures on the Shenandoah River are dipping somewhere south of 50 degrees but the Smallmouth Bass are willing to eat if we put our flies in front of them. The deep cuts between the ledges on the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River are made for fly fishing and swing nymphing.
This nice Smallmouth Bass was caught Saturday afternoon (November 3, 2012) on a #4 Madtom fished between some four foot deep ledges.
