Native Brook Trout (Mountain Stream Wade Trips)

Shenandoah River Smallmouth Bass (Float or Wade)
Experience why the Shenandoah is world-renowned for its Smallmouth Bass. We offer both comfortable float trips in our Hyde Rocky Mountain Skiff or Hyside Rafts and wade fishing adventures.
- Prime Season: April through mid-October.
- Pro Tip: While May begins the main season, don’t overlook late March. The March and April pre-spawn period, when conditions are right, provides some of the biggest bass of the entire season as trophy fish move into the shallows.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need experience to book a guide?
Absolutely not! We specialize in teaching. Many of our clients have never held a fly rod before their first trip. We’ll have you casting and reading the water with confidence by lunch.
What should I bring?
We provide the fishing gear, but we recommend bringing polarized sunglasses, a brimmed hat, rain gear, and plenty of sunblock. If you have your own lucky rod, feel free to bring it!

Most of our trips begin right here at Murray’s Fly Shop in Edinburg, VA, where we’ll go over the day’s plan and ensure you have everything you need before heading to the water.
