Beat The Crowds

A good friend consistently catches more large trout than most anglers. When I asked him how he did this he said “I never park where I see another fisherman’s car and in the mountains I hike away from the crowd.”

Tying your own flies is a great way to develop some new flies to meet those demands when no existing patterns will catch those tough fish. This is especially valuable when you are fishing popular no-kill trout streams in which the fish see the standard patterns over and over every week.
