Care of Winter Angling Clothes

Fortunately the days of cotton long johns and bulky clothing that hold body moisture are a thing of the past. We now have many great synthetics and blends that are a pleasure to use if we take care of them properly.

Some soaps and detergents contain chemicals which are designed to pull water into the material being washed which is wonderful for getting the garment clean. However, unless these garments are rinsed very thoroughly they will hold in our body moisture when we wear them in cold weather. This results in wicking away our body heat and we get a cold.

In order to get the best performance from our new garments always follow the manufacturers directions. Fortunately the McNett Company has many excellent products for washing and caring for our new cold weather garments.
